How it started
Our Story
In 2021, when the Baden Powell Council of Boy Scouts of America announced their intention to sell the beloved Camp Barton property, our communities came together with a shared vision: to preserve this treasured lakefront property for public use.
Working closely with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historical Preservation, the Three Falls LDC was established to facilitate the property's transformation into Three Falls State Park.
This collaboration ensures that future generations will continue to enjoy the natural beauty and recreational opportunities that have made this location special for over a century.
